Before Diwali, banks will remain closed across the country on October 26 due to the fourth Saturday of the month and on October 27 due to Sunday.
Two categories of holidays
Bank customers should remember that some holidays of banks are under the ‘National Holiday’ category and some holidays/festivals are related to a particular state or region. Only the banks of a particular state or region remain closed on holidays related to a particular region. Therefore, bank customers should go to the bank only after checking the bank holiday list and finish their work on time.
